Podcasting

We've now got podcasting up and running. As far as I can tell, podcasting really just means we've wrapped some hyperlinks in XML, with the consequence that you can get to these links in iTunes using the following method:

  1. Launch iTunes.
  2. In the Advanced menu, select Subscribe to Podcast.
  3. Enter the Malty Media podcast feed URL in the text box and click OK.

If you don't use iTunes or use some other software, you're probably smart enough to figure it out. If all else fails you can listen to our shows on this website.

The feed currently contains the first two radio shows and a couple of other mp3s we've put on this site. We'll get last month's show up there as well as soon as we've figured out what we played. We're not sure if we'll offer up every show, but there should be regular updates.

What else? Well, Malty Media's Wellington theatre of operations had its first birthday last month. We're still not entirely sure what Malty Media is about or if there's really enough punter interest to sustain what we're doing in the longer term, but we have podcasts now, so we're ultra cool.

Our next show is December 30. We figure most regular listeners (if indeed there are any) will be too drunk/hungover/on holiday to listen in, so we're planning to amuse ourselves with an hour long version of our comparatively popular track and (to us, anyway) albatross 'Flakiest'. Ripper.

In case you need it, here's that link to the podcast again.
