Malty Media is an electronic music alliance between Aquaboogie (Stuart McDonald) and Jet Jaguar (Michael Upton). As well as having released 3 EPs so far, we hosted a regular radio show which is archived here. Our two-hour sets featured a 50/50 split of our own material and electronica classics from the 70s, 80s, 90s, today, and tomorrow!

Aquaboogie has new album out

I've put out a third collection of material, wrangled under the dubious title 'La Bellend Époque'. Some of the tracks on this comp were originally written for and performed on the Malty Media radio show, so there is some relevance to this particular website. Otherwise it's all genteel numbers in a style I call 'ambient pop'.

Montano: Subtitled

Michael's other side project, Montano (with our chum Octif), has released a new album of field-recording gentleness called Subtitled. You can procure this item either virtually or physically by nudging your browser in the direction of Bandcamp.

While we're here, what's up with Malty Media at the moment? The answer is: nothing. At the moment. As you were!

An exclusive tune of ours now available for download

A CD compilation we were fully involved with a while back is now available to download via Bandcamp.

Here's a streamer for our track.

Bit of blog love for our latest EP

Just a quick note to say thanks to Japanese / French (? I dunno) blog Yamanote Dreams and New Zealand blog Hip Drop for some kind words about Kleiner Wasserbär.  Very kind.

Stream or download our last radio show

Heaps of new stuff got played week before last.  The audio is up on the site and available for listening and downloading, alongside a fulsome tracklisting with links to some of our sample sources and so on.

Having got out of the swing of doing radio shows, it might be prudent to remind everyone that that's what we do.  Or have done up til now!  FINE!
