Malty Media is an electronic music alliance between Aquaboogie (Stuart McDonald) and Jet Jaguar (Michael Upton). We host a regular radio show on Radio Active. Our two hour sets feature a 50/50 split of our own material and electronica classics from the 70s, 80s, 90s, today, and tomorrow!

Executive summary of the second gig

Hitch-wise the gig went well, although we accidentally deafened some friends, which is really unforgivable. Unfortunately where we play from in the corner is a sort of acoustic dead zone, so what we think is too quiet is for some all too loud.

In 2007 Radio Active turned 30 and to celebrate they ran a 30 hour marathon on Friday 7 December - Saturday 8 December. The marathon had the concept that each hour represented a year in Radio Active's history.

We were lucky enough to score a spot on Andy and Pete's show and we broadcast live from the Newtown Working Mens' bowling club, where the party was being held.

Phase one completion report

The project team is pleased to announce that phase one of Malty Media was completed successfully on Wednesday, 21 November 2007. While some performative issues were noted by a minority of stakeholders, required outputs were provided as outlined by pre-established Service Level Agreements between Malty Media, Katipo cafe staff and the attendees. Sign-off has been sought and received from the cafe owner and a sample group of audience members.
