With Stuart back in town it's been decided to skip a week of the Soft Option in favour of the semisoft half flaccid alternative that is Malty Media. To be vaguely topical, we're doing a special on UFOs. Not only is it only 10 years since the X Files was cancelled, which for us counts as bloody recent, in a December Silly Season tour de force the NZ Military released their UFO files. We'll be dipping into apparitions ancient and modern. It's sure to be a close encounter of the Malty kind!!?!

While_You_Were_Sleeping, Wellington's electronic music collective, is back for a gig appropriately called Resuscitate, and Malty Media will be contributing a set of devastating the-sort-of-stuff-we-do. We're working closely with VJ Yetimon to extend the psychedelia into the visual realm.

The gig is at Betty's on Blair St on 14 November from 4pm, so you can saunter in after having a thrilling time at the Santa Parade. It's $5 before 6 and $8 after, to provide an incentive to get in early, you tardy so-and-sos.

You'd be clinically off your rocker not to attend!
