Retroactive Retrospective

Well, last night's brief set for Retroactive went down a treat, really.

As befits a radio station celebration, there were fans of many styles there, but it was nice to get some fairly... astonishing... responses from a couple of punters.   

You can check the Sounds tab up top to hear the first track we played, an odd mix of Missy Elliott's Pass That Dutch. Miles, Active stalwart, came bolting in from the bowls green, wearing some kind of small and mysterious fur, grabbed my shoulder and shouted "You're melting my MIND!" Our finest achievement to date, then, and extra nice given that Miles got us our first live-to-air gig when we were two thirds of MonkeyShuttle 12 years ago.

The chocolate bar ad samples of Flakiest, from our EP, caused Retroactive's production manager to mime Flake-fellatio rhythmically to the beat, mixed up with some classic jungle soundbwoy bobbing and nodding.
